Mar 17, 2010. Before the Jade Golem transformation is unlocked, there is also the Storm Dragon style which has a near ten-second stun effect, during which the play is free to attack away with impunity. Combined with its resonance combo producing an endless supply of Focus orbs, the player can easily activate and remain in Focus Mode for the entire duration of combat so long as the combos are activated. Jade Empire Storm Dragon Ball
So as not to derail the WIP thread, I've started a separate one.
I'm playing on the default difficulty, and it occurred to me that without Storm Dragon, I'd either die way more often, or the fights would take much, much longer and involve more turtling behind blocks and wild jumping around.
On the other hand, with Storm Dragon, I'm basically one-shot killing everything that's affected by Harmonious Combos (handily filling my Focus back up in the process), or whaling forever on enemies that I keep in a Shocked state.
Currently, I'm switching between White Demon, Leaping Tiger, Storm Dragon, the longsword and the axes. From time to time I throw in Jade Golem against enemies with a host of immunities, when I'm too lazy to figure out what else would work.
I have Stone Immortal, but rarely use it.
So, what am I missing here? Surely that's not the only way to fight without each battle taking up inordinate amounts of time?
